Att bygga Sonnet med ett lödnings-PCB kräver ytterligare verktyg (en lödkolv) för att installera switchar. Det möjliggör dock fler layouter.

Hotswap-PCB:t (endast ANSI) kräver inga ytterligare verktyg och låter dig byta switchar direkt. Du kan dock bara använda vissa layouter och en full plate.

Både hotswap- och lödnings-PCB är endast trådbundna.

The solder PCB opened up way more layout options than I expected, and my soldering iron got plenty of use this weekend. Once the switches are in, the board feels rock solid, and I love that I wasn’t locked into ANSI only.

The extra layouts on the solder PCB are a big win for me — I swapped in a 7u spacebar and arrow cluster without any trouble, though my soldering iron got a solid workout. If you're not into soldering, the hotswap being ANSI-only is a fair tradeoff for the convenience.
