Deze PCB is compatibel met alle Sonnet-jaren. Het bouwen van de Sonnet met een soldeer-PCB vereist extra gereedschap (een soldeerbout) om switches te installeren. Het maakt echter wel extra layouts mogelijk.

De hotswap-PCB (alleen ANSI) vereist geen extra gereedschap en je kunt switches direct verwisselen. Je kunt echter alleen bepaalde layouts en een volledige plaat gebruiken.

Zowel hotswap- als soldeer-PCB's zijn alleen bedraad.
