Universele platen ondersteunen zowel ANSI- als ISO-indelingen. ANSI-indeling is de standaardindeling die in de Verenigde Staten en veel andere landen wordt gebruikt, terwijl ISO-indeling de standaardindeling is die in veel Europese landen wordt gebruikt.

ANSI Half is een plaat met één grote uitsparing voor de alfacluster. Hierdoor kunnen schakelaars in de alfaposities profiteren van de flexuitsparingen in de PCB. Als u de Half-plaatoptie selecteert, moet u deze combineren met een gesoldeerde PCB.

Wat plaatmateriaal betreft, zijn de hardheid bij het indrukken en de akoestiek een kwestie van voorkeur. Naar onze ervaring kunnen zachtere materialen helpen om vingervermoeidheid bij lange typsessies te verminderen, terwijl hardere materialen een responsiever gevoel kunnen geven. De volgorde van plaatmaterialen van zacht naar hard is POM, polycarbonaat, FR4, CF, aluminium, koper en messing.
