I was skeptical about needing foam at all, but adding a few pieces under the spacebar completely changed the board's sound for the better. The fit is precise, and I like that I can experiment by leaving some layers out.
The kit covers every opening in the case, so I finally got that deep, quiet thock I was chasing without any pinging. Each piece fits snugly and it took maybe ten minutes to layer in the ones I wanted.
