Både hotswap- og loddeprint er kun med kabel.
The solder PCB lets me play with a few extra layouts I couldn't get on the hotswap version, which was the main reason I picked it. Took me an evening with my iron to get all the switches in, but the flexibility feels worth it.
The option to swap between solder and hotswap versions on the same board is genius—I went with the solder PCB for the extra layouts and it fits my desk setup perfectly. Soldering took me an evening, but the flexibility in key arrangement was totally worth it.
I’m not great with a soldering iron, but the flexibility to pick a layout that actually fits my workflow made the effort worth it. The hotswap option is there if you want plug-and-play simplicity, but I liked having the choice baked into the board itself.
